I have been involved in the construction industry since the age of 12, when I used to help my father on weekends and school holidays – I suppose you could call it child exploitation!
At 16 I joined my fathers building business and continued to learn all about construction, working on many large projects in Cumbria and gaining valuable experience.
My favourite aspect was always groundworks and in particular - paving. In fact I suppose you could say that paving has become a passion for me as well as a business.

In 2001, after having a 14yr apprenticeship! I decided to start my own company and specialise in paving.

From a humble beginning with a second hand van and borrowed tools, I have expanded and developed into a growing company, employing local people, but all the time maintaining the personal touch that I think is essential.

Nigel Walker Paving Services are based in Cockermouth, Cumbria. We offer quality paving and hard landscaping services throughout the whole of Cumbria and the North West, for both the domestic and commercial sectors.
